Unlike mass-produced jewellery, custom grillz are individually handcrafted to fit your exact teeth. Every smile is different, meaning every set is unique. From taking your dental impressions to the final polish, creating premium grillz is a skilled process that combines jewellery craftsmanship with precision.

Step 1: Taking Your Dental Impressions

Everything starts with a mould of your teeth.

Since no two smiles are identical, your grillz must be made from an accurate impression.

Customers throughout the UK and worldwide can complete this step from home using one of our mould kits or visit us for an in-person mould appointment.

A precise mould is the foundation of a comfortable, secure-fitting set.

Step 2: Creating a Stone Model

Once we receive your impressions, we carefully inspect them for accuracy.

Dental stone is then poured into the mould to create a solid replica of your teeth.

This stone model becomes the template that our jewellers use throughout the entire manufacturing process. Because it’s an exact copy of your smile, every contour and angle can be recreated in metal.

This stage is what separates truly custom grillz from generic one-size-fits-all alternatives.

Step 3: Crafting the Grillz

Using your stone model, skilled jewellers either hand wax your design or use CAD to create your bespoke set. Each piece is individually worked, adjusted and refined to create your bespoke set. 

Depending on the complexity of the design, this stage alone can take many hours.

High-end custom grillz require patience, precision and years of experience.

Step 4: Casting in Precious Metal

After the wax design has been perfected, it’s transformed into precious metal using a jewellery casting process.

Depending on the customer’s order, this could include:

• 925 Sterling Silver
• 9K Gold
• 14K Gold
• 18K Gold

The molten metal fills the mould before being cooled and cleaned, creating the first metal version of your grillz.

From here, the finishing work begins.

Step 5: Polishing and Finishing

Once cast, every surface is refined by hand.

Edges are smoothed, the fit is checked, and the entire piece is polished to achieve a mirror finish.

If diamonds or gemstones are included, these are individually set before a final quality inspection.

This finishing stage is often overlooked, but it’s one of the biggest differences between premium grillz and cheaper alternatives.

A flawless polish gives the grillz their signature shine.

Step 6: Final Quality Checks

Before any order leaves our workshop, we carry out multiple quality checks.

We inspect:

• Fit
• Symmetry
• Polish
• Stone security
• Finish quality
• Overall craftsmanship

Only once we’re completely satisfied are the grillz packaged and prepared for delivery.
